When Solomon Pinto's passionate, bold strokes of vibrant colors meet the stark white canvas, life emerges, expressive and contemplative. As the Waves of the sea, at the port of Ashdod, his Canvases surge with texture, movements, and the Mediterranean. The subject of his art speaks about life, sea, and the Israeli coast light. Having worked for 35 years in the port of Ashdod, the motives came to his canvases from the flag code on the ship. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, Solomon was drawn to the art at a young age, and through self-exploration and studying, he became a master artist. His works range from sculptures in stone and marble to drawings and paintings. Using bold colors and textured strokes, his every canvas reflects the depth of his experiences.
Salmon Pinto died on 4.10.2023
